1. I found that the first website entitled "Google Gulp" was not a reliable site. It shows no way to contact the creater. Also, when I clicked on the links at the page,it said that the page was not found. There is no clear author either. The second site, "Aluminum Foil Deflecter Beanie",has a clear author and all of the links take you to where they say they'll take you. Plus, it's easy with relevant information.
3. The best website to use to research about Mankato, Minnesota would be the second site. There is relevant information and a clear author. Plus, the site has been updated recently. The first site was totally off. There was a picture of a beach in Minnesota so I knew that site wasn't reliable. The Third site was Wikipedia. Anyone can post on wikipedia so I knew that one was unreliable too. Therefore, number two was the best choice.
Our discussion the past two days has taught me some new things as well as review some things I already know. I knew how to search things using Boolean Operators. However, I didn't know how to tell if a site was reliable or not. The past two days have been helpful.

Critique on Citation Machines
My favorite citation machine to use is EasyBib. It's very easy to figure out how to work things. I also like how you can look up certain books and websites and it finds information for your citation. Citation Machine and SourceAid were not as easy to use. The process got a little confusing at times because there was no place to "search" for books and websites. Overall, I think that Citation Machines are very useful and we are lucky to be able to use them today in the modern world.

Summary of The River of Doubt
In 1913, after a humiliating loss for presidency, Theodore Roosevelt set out to South America to visit his son Kermit. This expedition would be known as the Roosevelt-Rondon scientific Expedition. Rondon was an explorer who promised a safe trip down the uncharted and unexplored River of Doubt. Little did they know they would face disease, poisonous animals, murders, and Indian attacks. From the beginning, the journey was going horribly. Many of the men were dying of starvation and malaria including Roosevelt. He always carried a lethal dose of morphine, and he planned to use it so he wouldn’t be such a detriment to the men on the voyage. If it wasn’t for Kermit, Theodore would have taken his life. The river had many rapids, and poisonous insects that bit many of the men. All the men aboard were severely ill and famished. One man already died, and Rondon lost a paddle in the rapids. The hopes of surviving were very low. Then, the men and their canoes reached a series of 6 waterfalls. Rondon, being very talented with ropes, lowered down the canoes from the falls. It was successful and all but three of the men made it out alive. The Roosevelt’s went home and Kermit married Bella Willard and had four kids until he took his life in 1943. Theodore also died that year. Now, The River of Doubt is now named Rio Roosevelt in their honor.

Avatars
1. An avatar is a model of a real life person or object.
2. A person might use an avatar in personal life for communicating with friends and sending messages. A person might use an avatar in an educational career just like Mrs. Lundquist does. She uses avatars to tell us our lessons and on the class blog. A person might use an avatar in business to tell the employees what to do, or send messages to other businesses.
3. Yes I have used an avatar prior to this class. I've used them for online gaming a while ago such as "Club Penguin" or "Webkinz".
4. My favorite site was the "GoAnimate" Avatar making site, because there was a lot more choices to choose from. You could make some pretty unique creations!

Feed Readers
My favorite Feed Reader is "Google Reader." I think Google Reader is better because it is easier to organize. You can find information more quickly and efficiently. Plus, it's right on my iGoogle page.
